Main Street Duncan

Since 1986, the City of Duncan has proudly partnered with Main Street Duncan, Inc., a dedicated force committed to preserving the rich heritage of our beloved downtown district. Main Street Duncan, Inc. is one of two of the original Oklahoma Main Street programs. Our mission is to honor and rejuvenate the heart of Duncan, focusing on the vibrant avenues of Walnut, Main, and Willow, spanning from 7th to 10th Street

We love our community! Feel free to visit the office during normal business hours, 9am – 4pm.

Main street is an organization built to help revitalize and support our Duncan downtown to be the center of the community. It is what brings event and fun things to do to our downtown. In supporting Main Street you are supporting the things we do by having events like the Christmas parade and wine on the trail. They are also supporting us helping the businesses downtown.
– Henry Lehr
Without Main Street, Duncan would lose its identity. Our downtown districts represent the history of Duncan and where our community came from (and hopefully an element that will be used as we define ourselves as a community and move forward). The rich story of our community is embedded on the sidewalk, the architecture of the buildings showcases an era of prosperity in the community and resilience of our citizens and is a gathering space for socialization.
– Nate Schacht
Main Street Duncan is the heart of Duncan. The place where the beat happens and radiates to the rest of the city. It’s a central place to gather, and be part of the community. Without Main Street the organization, the shops, the merchants, the patrons, we would be a disconnected entity. Without it, you would have no comradery, no coordinated flow, disconnection. Supporting Main Street is like taking care of your health. The community is healthier with a thriving downtown and Main street the organization is the glue.
– Janice Schornick
I believe Main Street is a place for our community to come together. There is something for everyone. It has businesses that provide options to our community and allow us to shop local and support one another. We as a community need to continue to support MSD so it can grow and potentially bring more businesses.
– Mikka Almon
